Today, I tried something I never tasted before…octopus!
In Spanish, the word for octopus is “pulpo.” I didn’t even know that you could eat octopus. I must admit that I was a little nervous at first. I thought I saw the octopus legs moving a little, but it turns out that I was just imagining things. It was so delicious…cooked in oil and topped with paprika. Many people like to eat it with potatoes and bread.
In Spain, this is a very popular food especially in Galician restaurants. Galicia is a region of Spain located in the north west part of the country near the Atlantic coast. If you want to try and cook some octopus someday, the key is not to overlook it or it will get very tough.
