Greetings from the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport! Did you know that Adolfo Suarez was the first democratically-elected Prime Minister of Spain since the Second Spanish Republic? And, he also helped Spain move to a democracy after the Franco dictatorship in the 1970s? Pretty neat, huh?
The flight from Frankfurt to Madrid was only two hours long on the plane. I can’t believe how fast planes can go! When we got to the Madrid airport, everyone spoke to me in Spanish! Some people even started calling me “Pedro,” which is the Spanish version of my name, “Peter.”
One great thing about this airport is that they had a sink for people just my size. Check this out:
Madrid – I like you already! Now, it is time to get some sleep:)
Your tired friend,
Peter (or Pedro as some say)
